The conceit is simple. Take one Beastie Boys concert. Give a bunch of fans Hi-8 cameras. Get them to record the concert and stitch together the footage into a 90 minute concert video. The concert is fine. I have a soft-spot for the Beasties - I *LOVE* Paul's Boutique. But there's a reason why we have professional cameramen. This footage may capture the authentic feeling of being in the crowd, but frankly I'd rather have something that was well-lit and well-shot than this Gonzo headache-inducing nonsense. Or go to a concert myself. Clearly, one for hard-core fans alone. Incidentally, the DVD has a far more entertaining short doc on Nathaniel Hornblower!
